Today, Summerland Yacht Club presented the South Okanagan-Similkameen Medical Foundation with a cheque for $18,444.00, exceeding our goal of $15,000.00. Many thanks to the participants, sponsors and volunteers that made the Ogopogo Bathtub Race possible. We hope to see you all again next year.
Great Day at Ogopogo Bathtub Race
August 22nd came sandwiched between heavy winds and a rough lake, and a smoke-filled Saturday evening. Someone was watching out for us! The Great Ogopogo Bathtub Race float was declared a winner in the June 6th Actionfest Parade. On August 22, be at Peach Orchard Park for a great time with the races, kid’s events, BBQ and more. Help support our Regional Hospital, which is so important to all of us.
Bigfoot is ready to race!
Built from scratch, Bigfoot is one of several of these types to be in the race. It was built from the plans on this website, with a replica lightweight tub. Next, the first run under power. Next off the assembly line is a pontoon boat for the Fun Race.
